Republican Leadership Isn’t…Stand Up Or Stand Down!

October 22, 2009

It’s driven me CRAZY for years…these clowns talk such a great game seeking our votes and then they go back to WASHVILLE…which was once a swamp…I’ll let you fill in the blanks.
Maybe the British were trying to do us a favor when they burnt it down in 1814.
It must be that moist, dank, swampy air that causes brain lesions in politicians as soon as they check into the Beltway.
The Republican brand in particular is suffering from severe disillusionment, stemming from years of rank and file abuse by the party “leadership” which isn’t.
You’d think the boneheads would get the message that’s been coming from the people ever since George Bush started taking America down the wrong fiscal path. Centrism and reaching across the ‘aisle’ has proven to be worse than a red herring time after time. Accommodation with the Democrats is like dropping into a den of rattlesnakes and blithely saying,  ‘ Why howdy neighbor” – and then being genuinely surprised at getting bit. If the base wanted you to make deals we would have said so.
But then, you guys develop extremely severe hearing loss, along with your tunnel vision which comes with your SWAMP FEVER. And you wonder why you shed voters and support like needles on a month old Christmas tree. (Notice the non-use of the term holiday tree?). If this party is to re-emerge as the right-of-center party, capable of saving America from the voracious maw of Marxist tyranny threatening to overwhelm the Constitution and the rule of law as laid out in that Constitution and in our Bill of Rights, then it had best stand on its feet and proclaim to America and the world that, “WE STAND FOR AMERICA…this shall not be!” Say it loud. Say it clearly, without the usual mealy mouthed equivocation a la Lindsey Graham and the pathetic turncoats like him. Stand up and stand for something, or die for nothing. Stand up and America will follow.
You can’t have it both ways.

Conservative Patriots vs. Old Guard Middle Squish Republicrats.

October 19, 2009

Lindsey Graham is feeling bullet proof these days. He’s not up for re-election until 2015.
That means that the newly emerging RINO-in-Chief figures he’s good to go on just about any smarmy agenda he pleases. Speaking of smarmy, he just slithered into the den of John (Did you know that I served in Viet Nam?) Gunboat Kerry. The man who turned against his country on behalf of the NVA (North Vietnamese Army), in testimony before Congress lying through his arrogant teeth. Show us your military records John. Especially your discharge.
Shame on you Lindsey…you are known by the company you keep. Shame on us.
‘Gunboats’ is the front man for the extremely regressive Waxman-Markey TAX-and-destroy bill. Another 1,400+ page phantom bill from the deviant minds of the Marxists in Congress and their controllers in the Carbon Credits  industry sales scam…it’s useless to go into the ‘accommodations’ promised to RINOs of Lindsey’s ilk. They are invariably window dressing and sucker bait.
Needless to say these promises would vaporize  like an Obama campaign promise as soon as any bill was passed.
Graham’s really stuck-on-stupid statement at a recent town hall  meeting, referring to the patriot movement and teabaggers as ANGRY WHITE GUYS, is going to cost him. We’ve always known he was linguine-spined and vacillation prone and just as wrong headed as John McCain, but so far the Republican label has shielded him….NO MAS. We’re not going to forget this time Lindsey…not by a long shot.
There is a serious disconnect between the conservative patriot movement and the leadership of the Republican party…basically it’s like this…WE back winners…THEY lose elections. I don’t mean that to sound arrogant though it may. It was the back room deal makers that brought us that charismatic crowd pleaser Bob Dole who was a classic beltway deal maker. War hero though he was, he was not presidential material. George Bush the younger was another insider selection and despite severe reservations we supported him. His performance after 9/11 and the war allayed some of those fears along with the Bush tax cuts. But his subsequent spending and fiscal failures, along with his apparent unwillingness or inability to reign in a Republican House and Senate spending money like Democrats on steroids, cost us the House and Senate and ultimately the Presidency.
John McCain was another ‘insider pick’ whose loss would have been worse than Dole’s had he not picked up SARAH PALIN along the way. She was the only bright light in an otherwise lifeless campaign.
There are fractious elements all over the country among the conservative movement who are bucking the ‘conventional’ wisdom of the party insiders, who have a positively fiendish ability to pick out and put forth weak, accommodating RINO candidates.
You’ll notice that many of these people don’t show up, nor are they invited to conservative events, with the exception of some of the ‘Good Guys’ like MIKE PENCE.
I see this as a war for the soul of the party. The status quo movement, also known as the accommodation or “we just have to move to the center”  wing of the party, has brought us to Barack Hussein Obama and his wildly out-of-control administration and Congress.
It’s time for the torch to be passed to those who can lead this country out of the darkness.
In the words of the great Ronald Reagan,  “…raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which makes it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people”.
